We live in Washington, but we have not done Washington home field trips yet. Right now this page is a research list of places we are aiming to go—not a travel guide pretending we have already been everywhere.
What we’re looking for
A reason to leave the house curious.
Science and making spaces where touching, testing, and asking questions are part of the visit.
Coastlines, forests, farms, and the people who know how to care for them.
Maritime stories, local history, and communities that can tell their own story in their own voice.
Food, craft, and working knowledge that children can see, smell, taste, and try.
