We are interested in travel that starts with a question: What is there to see, make, taste, understand, or feel in that place that we cannot find at home?
The first trip
Arizona, September 2026.
Our first real travel-learning week took us from Seattle to Phoenix with two children. We visited Arizona Science Center, experienced the Dorrance DOME, and got close enough to feed a giraffe at Out of Africa Wildlife Park.
It was also our first week of homeschooling. We kept the online work flexible and let the experiences count as learning too. That balance is what we are still trying to understand.
More trips are a question, not a promise.
Hazzauna’s work schedule creates a few consecutive days off every other week. We are exploring what can happen when a family uses that window to go somewhere with a reason to learn—without waiting for a school break or pretending every trip is effortless.
