Meet history where it is alive.
This is a starting point, not a list of lessons. We are looking for places where children can encounter Black history and culture through people, community, art, food, invention, resistance, joy, and the voices of those who hold the story.
How we want to approach it
With curiosity. And respect.
We do not want to flatten a living culture into a themed day or turn difficult history into a spectacle. The point is not to collect trauma for a field trip report. The point is to listen, notice who is telling the story, and make room for complexity and joy.
This page will grow as we find experiences we can stand behind. For now, the honest status is: we are still researching.
